Holiday Hustle Results

Congrats to all finishers and thanks to our volunteers! The 4th annual Holiday Hustle results are now posted: click here. Photos here.

Flooded trail Kim Doerksen Jordan Wilson

The tide was high at just the wrong time and the duck pond was quite flooded by the time the 5k runners got there. Could be fun if you like races like the Gunner Shaw XC in Vancouver... but it was a little icy on the feet, oops! Well it'll be one to remember when you're telling your grandkids about your running accomplishments.

Congrats to Jordan Wilson for defending his title and setting a new course record of 17:22, flood and all, and to (now) ultra runner Kim Doerksen for taking second overall in 18:24 and completely dominating the women's field.

Four Lakes 10k/3k results are posted! View results here. Congrats to Kim Doerksen for the overall win, and Jordan Wilson for fastest male (2nd overall).

Squamish Days 10k, August 2

An updated course this year meant the middle 3k was in complete shade instead of blazing hot sun — so much nicer! With Alex still on the injured list, we didn't quite have enough club entries for the team category this year, but still brought home 3 age group medals and a 3rd overall prize.

Larry Nightingale 41:06 3rd M50-54
Teresa Nightingale 42:29 3rd Female Overall, 1st F45-49

Sea Cav Mile

Another record turn-out for this popular event! 133 registrants and 123 finishers, up from 118 registrants in 2014 and 112 finishers. Weather was the best: sunny but cool and a tail-wind down the highway. Overall winners were Paul Krochak (4:40) and Grace Milley (5:55). Full results are here and photos are on the Sea Cavalcade's Facebook page.

Summerfast 10k, July 18

Vancouver Sun Run 10k, April 19

Teresa, Tammy and Larry

Awesome sunny day again, great crowd energy! Larry, Teresa and Tammy did an extra long warmup and even longer warmdown to add more mileage (for Teresa and Tammy) for an upcoming long race. Total distance covered was approx 24km including the race. None of us felt particularly good, we were still recovering from last weekend in one way or another! But a great workout at least.

41:57 Teresa Nightingale 9th F45-49
46:05 Tammy Mariano (Dean) 17th F45-49

Resolution Run, January 1, Sechelt

start of Resolution Run

About 15 people came out to Porpoise Bay Park on the first day of the new year to run or walk between 2k and 6k on the trails. The weather was frosty with brilliant sunshine and not a breath of wind to ruffle the waters of Sechelt Inlet. Home baked scones and cookies, oranges, hot chocolate and coffee were enjoyed following the run. Much more pleasant than jumping in the ocean! Photos on Facebook
